We want to Thank Professor Joel and his team for their great hospitality during our visit - it's always on point.  We have been in the process of relocating from Ca to TX and our boys are enrolled at a school in California.   Because of our hectic travel schedule going back and forth while we get things settled and wanting to keep the boys active and consistent - I reached out to the Graice Barra Research Forest and without any hesitations Professor Joel welcomed us into his gym as if we were part of the family.   Our boys were able to join the team with their practices, the kiddos here are also great as you can tell that Professor Joel and the team of coaches have set a great standard and culture of respect and hard work with all their peers.   The boys really enjoyed their classes and time with Professor Joels Team and if you are a local parent looking for a BJJ School, we would highly recommend you reach out to Gracie Barra Research Forest and connect with Professor Joel and his team - we would highly recommend his school and gym. Our son has attended training classes at GB Research Forest almost since it opened and I can’t say enough great things about his instructors and their commitment to bringing up strong kids physically and mentally. I’ve been training at Gracie Barra for two years, and it’s been an incredible experience. The professors are highly knowledgeable and do a great job balancing technical instruction with athletic conditioning. Every class feels structured and purposeful, and I’ve learned so much about both the art and the sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. One of the highlights for me is the Saturday competition training. These sessions are intense, and everyone pushes hard, creating an environment that’s both challenging and motivating. It’s the perfect mix of technique and a great workout. My 11 year old daughter has been going here for about 18 months. Good instruction & supervision. Owner Joel is very personable & truly cares about the quality of training. Gracie Barra Research Forest feels like family. Our sons have gained so much more than Jiu Jitsu—they’ve learned respect, discipline, and confidence. I was amazed to see my son handle conflict outside of class calmly and without any striking, a true reflection of what he’s learning here. I came buy visiting from France and did a drop in no gi class.  The guys were all super friendly and great to roll with.  The teacher is a top notch guy, and taught an excellent class.  Highly recommended!
